Water is very aggressive!

Have you ever thought about the Grand Canyon and how it got that way? It took years of water running over the rocks and the water dissolving the rocks.

How much rock do you think can be in a gallon of water?  On average, in Maryland, there is one pound of rock in every 500 gallons of water. This applies to both city and well water.  An average person uses 75 gallons per day. So a family of 4 averages 300 gallons per day and over one year that’s 109,500 gallons and 219 pounds of rock. That’s a lot of rock!
